Sow & Reap; Break & Rain
“Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you."

Now is the time.
No more sowing the seeds of judgement, and destruction. Immorality and idolatry. I want to reap steadfast love - I want righteousness to rain on the open, needy pores of my soul. For now is the time to seek the Lord.
O Lord, ruler of the heavens and the earth - I seek you this morning. I've come to where you can be felt, met, tasted. I'm meditating on your Holy word, in the midst of your divine creation - meet me here, Lord. May this sacred time - be an eternal investment. A worthwhile sowing. And meeting you alone is reward enough for me.
Lord, break up this hard soil in my heart. I've hardened myself towards you. Thick callouses, dry dirt clods. Crush them. Mold them. Soften them. Break them into a fine, useful dust. Ready to soak up the rain of your righteousness.
