Klaus was at his side, holding a small white mug of the steaming concoction in his trembling hands. “Just drink it, or he’ll never shut up,” the lizard whispered. Alexander lifted the glass delicately, afraid to burn his lips. He slurped down a small bit, and felt the caffeine surging into his veins. His eyes widened.
“You like it, my boy?” The walrus smiled.
Alexander coughed. “Yes! It’s good! My dad would love this, I think!”
“Oh, would he now? Sounds like your old man has got good taste! Well—drink up, my boy! You’ve got a lot of talking to do. I want to know everything about you, Alexander the Great. I want to hear how it is you’ve come to these Terikian Isles—and exactly what your quest is.”
